BEIJING—For the world’s best sprinters, passing the baton in the 4x400 relay is about as easy as rolling out of bed in the morning.
Picking a winner in that race used to be easy, too.
Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort in Tobago has named industry veteran Bernard Sarme as its new general manager. Sarme brings 40 years of hospitality and hotel management experience to the resort. “We are excited to announce that Bernard Sarme is joining the Magdalena Grand family,” said John Murphy, principal, efm Hospitality Solutions, operator of Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort.
“Bernard’s extensive resume is second to none and we’re confident that the Magdalena Grand will thrive under his leadership.” Sarme’s hospitality and hotel management career has taken him around the world, with a distinct focus on the Caribbean market. Most recently, he was the project director and consultant of La Licorne D’Or, a new boutique hotel located in Grand Case, French St Martin.
Sarme has been an active member of several professional industry associations and won Hotelier of the Year in the Cayman Islands in 1987. “Sarme’s success in the hospitality industry stems from a vast range of experience and hard work,” said Murphy. “The skills and experience Sarme brings to the Magdalena Grand will prove invaluable in the future.”
