CIF closes lower at $21.60
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which four advanced, two declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 179,035 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $3,781,931.40. FirstCaribbean International Bank Ltd was the volume leader with 40,000 shares changing hands for a value of $220,400, followed by GraceKennedy Ltd with a volume of 36,727 shares being traded for $128,544.50.
Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd contributed 27,614 shares with a value of $13,254.72, while First Citizens Bank Ltd added 23,954 shares valued at $910,371.05. Guardian Holdings Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.15 to end the day at $14.30. Conversely, Clico Investment Fund suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.10 to close at $21.60.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 104,040 shares valued at $2,247,543.36.
