Kaj Designs has opened the doors to its Kaj Flagship Boutique at the Buccoo Integrated Facility located at Buccoo Point in Tobago. Tobago’s foremost fashion house marked the momentous occasion with a private function for media and specially invited guests. In his address, Kaj’s president and creative director, Kevin Ayoung-Julien said: “We’ve had, and continue to have severe challenges in carving our brand’s image, but by your contributions the world continues to know us.
“Kaj Designs is a reflection of me; the brand represents a symbol of integrity, authenticity, passion, resilience, and unwavering tenacity, but most importantly a reflection of our team and everyone gathered here.” The store officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony and trunk show featuring limited edition pieces of T&T’s leading jewelry and accessories brand, Koko Karibi Designs.
With a minimalist design aesthetic, Koko Karibi offers modern contemporary creations in an array of precious and plated metals accented by precious and semi-precious gemstones and natural elements including shells and bone. “There is a natural synergy between Kaj and Koko Karibi Designs that hinges on a similar aesthetic approach. “We are pleased to now be one of Koko Karibi’s stockists and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship,” said Kaj’s CEO, Liza Miller.
Additionally, customers can look forward to the extended Kaj Safari Sale offering a storewide 40 per cent off the entire Tribu Sauvage collection. Despite operating under severe constraints imposed by limited resources, Kaj is aiming to be the region’s foremost source of exquisite clothing and accessories with the finest raw materials, an impeccable finish and a distinctive flair for detail and texture.
Last year, Kaj blazed a trail as the first Caribbean brand to exhibit and show at Blueprint during Singapore’s fashion week, Asia Fashion Exchange (AFX).
