Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 1,089,666 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $16,708,789.70. Guardian Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 1,027,600 shares changing hands for a value of $15,082,000.96, followed by First Citizens Bank Ltd with a volume of 26,535 shares being traded for $1,008,560.75.
National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd contributed 20,000 shares with a value of $21,000, while Ansa McAL Ltd added 5,959 shares valued at $395,022.11. National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $1.05. Conversely, Guardian Holdings Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.17 to close at $14.68.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 26,000 shares valued at $562,900. It remained at $21.65.
