FirstCaribbean trades 193,000 shares
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which three advanced, four declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 375,857 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,257,653.85. FirstCaribbean International Bank Ltd was the volume leader with 193,000 shares changing hands for a value of $1,061,586.27, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd with a volume of 151,034 shares being traded for $67,965.30.
First Citizens Bank Ltd contributed 12,457 shares with a value of $473,356, while Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd added 5,024 shares valued at $8,038.40. National Enterprises Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.07 to end the day at $18.90. Conversely, Ansa McAL Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.64 to close at $66.30. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 29,714 shares valued at $643,308.10. It remained at $21.65.
