Overall market activity resulted from trading in 14 securities of which one advanced, five declined and eight traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 643,499 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,172,383.49. National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd was the volume leader with 597,239 shares changing hands for a value of $627,100.95, followed by Sagicor Financial Corporation with a volume of 20,750 shares being traded for $140,062.50.
Guardian Holdings Ltd contributed 6,500 shares with a value of $95,875, while Republic Bank Ltd added 6,004 shares valued at $724,682.80. Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Ltd enjoyed the day's sole price increase, climbing $0.14 to end the day at $4. Conversely, Scotiabank T&T Ltd suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.10 to close at $69.81. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 5,124 shares valued at $110,868.56.
It declined by $0.01 to end at $21.64.
