Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which four advanced, one declined and seven traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 42,885 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $455,012.95. Guardian Holdings Limited was the volume leader with 10,522 shares changing hands for a value of $155,199.50, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited with a volume of 10,000 shares being traded for $10,500.
Prestige Holdings Limited contributed 10,000 shares with a value of $94,001, while Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited added 4,724 shares valued at $2,125.80. Unilever Caribbean Limited enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.70 to end the day at $62. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Limited suffered the day's sole decline, falling $0.02 to end the day at $37.47.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 25,000 shares valued at $537,500. It remained at $21.50.
