Overall market activity resulted from trading in ten securities of which four advanced, two declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 154,377 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,116,484.72.
Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited was the volume leader with 139,753 shares changing hands for a value of $62,888.85, followed by Scotiabank T&T Limited with a volume of 8,296 shares being traded for $575,636.76. Republic Bank Limited contributed 2,700 shares with a value of $326,700, while National Enterprises Limited added 1,500 shares valued at $28,125.
Republic Bank Limited enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.30 to end the day at $121. Conversely, Scotiabank T&T Limited suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.06 to close at $69.39. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 65,000 shares valued at $1,404,000.05. It advanced by $0.06 to end at $21.60.
