Overall market activity resulted from trading in 15 securities of which four advanced, two declined and nine traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 93,205 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $3,580,598.79. Scotia Investments Jamaica Limited was the volume leader with 43,297 shares changing hands for a value of $67,110.35, followed by Republic Bank Limited with a volume of 21,000 shares being traded for $2,562,000.
Neal and Massy Holdings Limited contributed 7,755 shares with a value of $535,442.75, while First Citizens Bank Limited added 6,981 shares valued at $244,340. Republic Bank Limited enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $1 to end the day at $122. Conversely, Scotiabank T&T Limited suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.10 to close at $69.25.
Praetorian Property Mutual Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 102 shares valued at $362.10. It remained at $3.55. Clico Investment Fund remained at $21.55.
