Overall market activity resulted from trading in 14 securities of which three advanced, two declined and nine traded firm.
Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 191,387 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,083,388.01. Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 54,853 shares changing hands for a value of $106,963.35, followed by Guardian Holdings Ltd with a volume of 48,043 shares being traded for $687,014.90. National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd contributed 35,633 shares with a value of $39,355.96, while Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd added 21,266 shares valued at $32,962.30.
Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.19 to end the day at $69.25. Conversely, Scotiabank T&T Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.25 to close at $69.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 65,241 shares valued at $1,412,467.65. It advanced by $0.01 to end at $21.65.
