Three more of the First Citizens Bank directors from the board which was chaired by Nyree Alfonso have resigned: deputy chairman Anil Seetarram, whose resignation took effect on July 4; Ramish Ramanand, who stepped down effective July 5; and Ved Seereeram, who resigned effective July 6.First Citizens has since informed the T&T Stock Exchange (TTSE) that a special meeting of the board was held on July 3 and two new directors were appointed–Franka Costelloe and Ryan Proudfoot.
Nyree resigned as chairman at First Citizens' annual general meeting on May 12, along with Rishi Badaloo, Marlene Juman and Shobee Jacelon.Last month, Vishnu Musai, John Tang Nian and Anthony Mohammed all resigned from the board.
At a special meeting on June 17, former attorney general Anthony Smart was appointed chairman. Also installed at that meeting were Jean-Pierre du Coudray, a director of the T&T Chamber; Joel Pemberton, CEO of Trinity Exploration and Production Plc; Michelle Durham-Kissoon, deputy permanent secretary, Ministry of Finance; Courtenay Williams, attorney and senior partner, Pollonais and Blanc; and Hazar Hosein, CEO, Land Settlement Agency.
