Excellent takes shopping online
Excellent Stores' new online store intends to make customers' shopping easier compared to traditional shopping where customers face traffic and long lines, said Alex Siu Chong, corporate controller, Excellent Stores Ltd.
“With the increased demands of our consumers and their lifestyle, Excellent Stores is determined to provide a more convenient shopping experience for our busy and ever growing population, an experience that T&T has yet to fully establish. We carefully considered T&T’s ongoing issues of long in stores lines, highway traffic and to avoid missing store closing times when making the online shop decision.
To Excellent Stores, our customers’ needs and convenience are first priority and we are proud to add this valuable service available to our locals and their family and friends abroad,” he told the Guardian yesterday.
Excellent Stores soft launched its first online shopping site July 10 to capture feedback from its consumers via social media and in stores. The family-owned chain of department stores plans to follow through with a public launch on August 1 offering an online promotion and through other channels of media. Sui Chong described Excellent Stores' online shopping as“revolutionary and innovative” in T&T.
“Excellent Stores is now offering customers their new online shopping experience. This revolutionary service will provide customers with excellent brands at excellent prices, now at the click of a button. “The Excellent team has worked tirelessly to rebuild the entire Web site around a fresh, modern look and with the option to filter by brand or category, product search is made easy and simple.”
He said although there is already online shopping in T&T, the difference with Excellence Stores is that it is the first to offer internationally recognised brands.
“We offer brands with affordable pricing, two convenient shipping options within two to four business days of placing the order and legendary customer service. We developed our online store to not only meet the needs of our T&T consumers, but to provide family and friends from overseas a convenient resource to purchase and deliver items to anyone who resides within T&T. This level of service is definitely breaking new ground.”
To mark its launch, Excellent Stores is offering an opening special of 15 per cent off online purchases from August 1 to 31. For persons who are unfamiliar with online shopping, Excellent Stores has given three steps.
Step 1: Access the Web site at www.excellentstorestt.com
Step 2: Search the product and select
Step 3: Add to cart and check out using secure payment powered by First Atlantic Commerce.
The customer’s order will then be processed and shipped within two to four working days or collected at a store location of their choice. Siu Chong said customers can also enjoy free in-store pick-up at any Excellent Stores Branch, flat rate shipping of $30 on TTPost deliveries and a ready-to-assist customer care hotline. Also, members can review their previous Order History, Wish list and update account information. He promises customers that buying online is safe.
“We have partnered with Scotiabank and First Atlantic Commerce so that our customers are able to securely pay using Visa or MasterCard to pay for their online orders directly after checking out. Scotiabank has been in the e-commerce business for over 14 years locally, and First Atlantic Commerce is a secure, international online payment gateway that offers our customers a risk-free shopping experience,” Siu Chong said.
