Massy shareholders to discuss name change
Neal & Massy Holdings Limited has informed the Stock Exchange of a special meeting to be held on Wednesday at the Ballroom, Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre, Lady Young Road, Port of Spain. The sole purpose of the meeting is to consider, and if appropriate, change the name of the Company from Neal & Massy Holdings Limited to Massy Holdings Ltd.
The meeting to officially change the name of the company follows the July 1 unveiling of the new name for the group, which was established more than 80 years ago, in 1932, as a result of a merger of companies headed by Harry Neal and Charles Massy. The current Massy chief executive, Gervase Warner told the Business Guardian in a recent interview that the group had already spent “tens of millions of dollars,” changing all of the signage of the 60 companies across the group and across the Caribbean.
