Through a growing access to mobile technology, more and more people are communicating and receiving information in real-time.This technological advancement has changed how decisions are being made and to address this services need, F1RST.com released a menus and catalogues feature that allows consumers to search online for specific products and services available at local businesses.
"If you're a business owner, this new feature gives your business its very own mobile storefront. Now customers can access menus and catalogues of your products and services, changing the way they shop and interact with your establishment," said Nicolas Maloney, co-founder and director, F1RST.com, who made the announcement at the closing ceremony for T&T Restaurant Week 2014 at Flair the Restaurant.
T&T Restaurant Week partnered with F1RST.com, to inspire an appreciation among locals for the rich culinary diversity available in T&T. Now in its second year, the national culinary festival experienced growth from the previous year with five more restaurants participating, including three new restaurants located in Tobago, and most of the restaurants reporting that they were sold out every night during the ten-day long event that began on September 19.
Shira Mohammed, managing director, Bee Marketing and Events Co Ltd, who planned and co-ordinated T&T Restaurant Week, thanked F1RST.com for its participation and acknowledged the importance of businesses using technology to promote the service they offer.
"We would like to thank F1RST.com for encouraging diners to write reviews from the various restaurants hence maximising our presence on the web," Mohammed said. "As T&T Restaurant Week grows and becomes more popular and interactive through internet based applications, virtual communities and networks, we anticipate an even greater interest in, and response to T&T Restaurant Week 2015."
