One ex­pect­ed that by this time in­come tax pay­ers who filed their re­turns pri­or to the April 30, 2014 dead­line, would have re­ceived their tax re­funds for 2013. In­stead, some of us have got­ten no­tices of hav­ing been au­dit­ed for 2008 though no tax is owed!To date, not one of the two dozen or so peo­ple I as­sist with fil­ing their re­turns has re­ceived his/her re­fund–an un­ten­able sit­u­a­tion, if you ask me.

This let­ter is a plea to the Board of In­land Rev­enue and who­ev­er else is re­spon­si­ble for this in­jus­tice to pay 2013 tax re­funds with­out fur­ther de­lay.
