A for­mer PNM gov­ern­ment min­is­ter has been ap­point­ed chair­man of the 17-mem­ber Reg­is­tra­tion Recog­ni­tion and Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Board. Au­gus­tus Ram­rek­ers­ingh, who served as Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion from 1991-1995 in the Patrick Man­ning ad­min­is­tra­tion, will be sworn in to­day by Pres­i­dent An­tho­ny Car­mona at 10.30 am at the Of­fice of the Pres­i­dent, Cir­cu­lar Road, St Ann's.

Min­is­ter of Labour and Small and Mi­cro En­ter­prise De­vel­op­ment Er­rol McLeod and Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary Ce­celia Greaves-Smith are among oth­ers ex­pect­ed to wit­ness the cer­e­mo­ny.

Oth­er mem­bers of the board to be sworn in to­day are Wat­son Duke, Ida Le Blanc, Judy Charles, Nel­son Sinette, Car­la Wal­cott, Christo­pher Streete, Charles Mar­tin de Gannes, Ruben Mc Sween, San­dra Warn­er, Giselle Estra­da, Ke­ston Nan­coo, Neil Der­rick, Bon­nie Alex­is, Ian Daniel, Ed­ward W Dug­gins and Kaw­al Singh.
