Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which three advanced, two declined and six traded firm.
Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 40,311 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $221,753.38. JMMB Group was the volume leader with 15,215 shares changing hands for a value of $19,779.50, followed by NCB Financial Group with a volume of 14,000 shares being traded for $55,300. Guardian Holdings Ltd contributed 5,000 shares with a value of $79,000, while Trinidad Cement Ltd added 3,823 shares valued at $16,056.60.
Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Ltd registered the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.12 to end the day at $4.00. Conversely, One Caribbean Ltd registered the day’s largest decline, falling $0.20 to close at $16.60.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 44 shares valued at $990.44. Clico Investment Fund remained at $22.51.
The second tier market did not witness any activity.
