All three Indices advance
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which seven advanced, five declined and one traded firm.
Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 245,933 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $6,831,699.02. Angostura Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 162,249 shares changing hands for a value of $2,555,421.75, followed by The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd with a volume of 31,518 shares being traded for $2,789,342.90.
JMMB Group Ltd contributed 14,418 shares with a value of $25,231.50, while ANSA McAL Ltd added 11,563 shares valued at $693,201.85.
ANSA McAL Ltd registered the day’s largest gain, increasing $1.95 to end the day at $59.95. Conversely, Scotiabank T&T Ltd registered the day’s largest decline, falling $0.50 to close at $65.50.
On the Mutual Fund Market 13,212 shares changed hands for a value of $264,069.82. Clico Investment Fund was the most active security, with a volume of 12,522 shares valued at $253,623.22. It declined by $0.15 to end at $20.25. Calypso Macro Index Fund advanced by $0.64 to end at $15.14.
In Wednesday’s trading session the following reflect the movement of the TTSE Indices:
• The Composite Index advanced by 3.05 points (0.25 per cent) to close at 1,238.34.
• The All T&T Index advanced by 5.50 points (0.32 per cent) to close at 1,732.30.
• The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.07 points (0.07 per cent) to close at 100.02.
