ANSA McAL Ltd has executed an amended and restated loan agreement that refinances an existing syndicated facility and provides the company with the option to access additional funding for general corporate purposes.
A notice posted on the T&T Stock Exchange yesterday said the conglomerate entered into the agreement on September 30, 2026.
The transaction refinances, on an unsecured basis, the principal outstanding under an existing $765 million dual-tranche fixed and floating-rate senior secured syndicated term loan.
The company said it would also borrow an additional $60.47 million under the arrangement, bringing the new principal sum of the facility to $600 million.
The agreement further provides flexibility for the principal amount to be increased by up to $300 million, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the facility.
According to the company, any additional loans obtained under the agreement would be used for general corporate purposes.
The release did not specify any particular projects or investments that would be financed through the facility.
The agreement was disclosed in a notice signed by corporate secretary Frances Bain-Cumberbatch and issued in accordance with Section 64(1)(b) of the Securities Act and Rule 603 of the T&T Stock Exchange Rules.
ANSA McAL is one of the Caribbean’s largest conglomerates, with operations spanning manufacturing, distribution, retail, financial services, media and automotive sectors.
