Another long-standing Port-of-Spain business has announced plans to transition from its current operating model.
On Monday, Laughlin & De Gannes announced the Tool Store would be transformed into showrooms for Lafast Motors.
The Tool Store had been operation for 75 years, according to the Laughlin & De Gannes website and, until this week, the company had Tool Stores in Port-of-Spain and San Fernando.
The post stated, “As Laughlin & De Gannes continues to evolve, we are taking thoughtful steps toward the next phase of our journey. Part of this evolution includes reimagining how we use our physical space to better reflect where our business is heading.”
The post continued, “In the coming week, the Tool Store will close in its current format, as the space transitions into a new Lafast Motors showroom. This showroom will introduce new brands and offerings being brought to market by the Lafast Motors family, creating a modern space focused on what comes next.”
The company added, “Laughlin & De Gannes remains fully committed to distributing trusted automotive brands through our nationwide network of local dealers. During this transition period, our team remains available to support you and answer any questions, and we look forward to welcoming you into the new Lafast Motors showroom once renovations are complete.”
In the past two weeks several Port-of-Spain businesses have announced closures or changes in its business structure.
