Chaguanas West MP Jack Warner is promising a bigger Carnival in the Chaguanas borough with more exciting Monday night mas and a queen competition.
Speaking at the launch of the festival at the Chaguanas Market car park, yesterday, Warner told a small crowd that burgesses will not need to leave Chaguanas to go Couva or Port-of-Spain to see mas.
Also addressing the gathering was acting mayor Gopaul Boodhan who said he does not want any glass bottles in the borough for Carnival.
Boodhan also said he does not want to see any lewd or suggestive behaviour for Carnival and appealed to parents to supervise their children during the festivities.
