At its spanking new air-conditioned home at the Queen's Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, Kaiso House is tonight hosting the media. A release on Tuesday stated that the occasion is to thank the media for "significantly supporting the noble art form of calypso." Signed by Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Ogranisation (Tuco) president Lutalo Masimba (Brother Resistance), also a member of the tent's management team, the statement also said: "Your continued actions and dealings with our organisation have always been positive and gratifying.
"In light of this, the management of Kaiso House agreed that a special show should be held to officially say 'thank you'." Showtime is 8 pm. The flagship tent of Tuco, Kaiso House was formally opened by Jennifer Jones, permanent secretary in the Ministry of the Arts and Multiculturalism, last Tuesday night. With its show hosted by Tommy Joseph and Sheldon John, Kaiso House is blessed with some excellent songs and performances, delivered by the likes of reigning National Calypso Monarch Karene Asche, reigning North Zone Calypso Monarch Dwayne O'Connor, Singing Sandra, Rikki Jai, Poser, Valentino, Shadow, Mr Shak, Derrick Seales, Black Sage, Brother Mudada, Marvellous Marva, Brian London, D Diamond, Brown Boy, Bunny B and Kassman.
