Just 17 steel orchestras will perform in the large band preliminary round of competition for the 2013 National Panorama competition on Monday from 7 pm.
The bands will be visited by the judges in their panyards that night and they will receive their comments and a head count will be conducted by Pan Trinbago officials.
A release from Pan Trinbago yesterday said because of the small registration, all 17 orchestras will automatically proceed to the national semifinal, (Savannah Party) at the Queen's Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, on January 27. Show time is noon.
The judges' caravan will start in the North with Humming Bird Pan Groove, of Fort George Road, St James; in the East with Birdsong, Tunapuna; in the South with T&TEC Tropical Angel Harps, Enterprise, Chaguanas, and in Tobago with the sole entrant, RBC Redemption Sound Setters.
