Just 17 steel or­ches­tras will per­form in the large band pre­lim­i­nary round of com­pe­ti­tion for the 2013 Na­tion­al Panora­ma com­pe­ti­tion on Mon­day from 7 pm.

The bands will be vis­it­ed by the judges in their pa­n­yards that night and they will re­ceive their com­ments and a head count will be con­duct­ed by Pan Trin­ba­go of­fi­cials.

A re­lease from Pan Trin­ba­go yes­ter­day said be­cause of the small reg­is­tra­tion, all 17 or­ches­tras will au­to­mat­i­cal­ly pro­ceed to the na­tion­al semi­fi­nal, (Sa­van­nah Par­ty) at the Queen's Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain, on Jan­u­ary 27. Show time is noon.

The judges' car­a­van will start in the North with Hum­ming Bird Pan Groove, of Fort George Road, St James; in the East with Bird­song, Tu­na­puna; in the South with T&TEC Trop­i­cal An­gel Harps, En­ter­prise, Ch­agua­nas, and in To­ba­go with the sole en­trant, RBC Re­demp­tion Sound Set­ters.

The pan car­a­van will vis­it the bands at their re­spec­tive pa­n­yards in the fol­low­ing or­der
