Reign­ing Chut­ney So­ca Monarch KI Per­sad is con­fi­dent that he is walk­ing home with the ti­tle again.His 2013 of­fer­ing is Friends for the Night.He spoke with the T&T Guardian af­ter he fin­ished an en­er­getic per­for­mance at the Ro­tary Club of Ch­agua­nas all-in­clu­sive fete at Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege, Ch­agua­nas, on Sat­ur­day night.

Per­sad said the song is a con­tin­u­a­tion of the sto­ry­line of Sin­gle For­ev­er, his mon­ster hit for 2012 that sky­rock­et­ed him to the top.He said he likes the line-up for the fi­nal and added that while he is cer­tain all artistes would be bring­ing their A-Game to Skin­ner Park on Sat­ur­day, he is sure that Friends for the Night would be a hard num­ber to beat.

KI said he has seen all his fel­low fi­nal­ists per­form on their good days and bad days. How­ev­er, he said the line-up is a good one and the qual­i­ty of songs be­ing dished out would prove to be a treat for all fans.
