Erphaan on the international trail
To say that Carnival 2012 has been a blur is an understatement, so to get the lowdown on what’s happening with some of our busy high-profile Carnival personalities, we had to grab them and do some mini-interviews.
Today we feature soca singer Erphaan Alves.
Erphaan Alves
This Central boy has been performing since the age of nine, making his name in both the Junior Calypso and Junior Soca Monarch Competitions. He won the Junior Soca Monarch consecutively in 2008 and 2009 with his own compositions—Soca Moving and Musical Journey.
Alves who made it to the finals of both the Groovy and Power Soca Monarch in 2012, won’t be in the competition this year, but his hits Eruption and Never have been getting a fair amount of radio airplay.
