The hottest piece of re­al es­tate for Car­ni­val 2013, Su­perBlue has been added to the cast of tonight's Min­istry of Rhythm, sched­uled for Un­der the Tress, at The Nor­mandie, St Ann's.

With 50 odd years in the busi­ness, 23 al­bums with some of the re­gion's most time­less hits, all mark­ing his mu­si­cal stature, there is no ques­tion that David Rud­der still pre­sides as the Min­is­ter of Rhythm. For this once in al­ife­time con­cert, Rud­der has al­so in­vit­ed Sweet So­ca Man Baron and to­day's top crossover act Kees Di­ef­fen­thaller to guest with him. Show­time is 8 pm.

Pul­sat­ing C2K13 ac­tion and rhythm doesn't end tonight Un­der the Trees as ac­tion con­tin­ues on Fri­day night with the stag­ing of The Mon­archs, fea­tur­ing six of the best loved Na­tion­al Ca­lyp­so Mon­archs in the land. This cast in­cludes Black Stal­in, Denyse Plum­mer, Lu­ta, David Rud­der, Shad­ow and Kurt Allen.

The Nor­mandie hote­lier Fred Chin Lee said this week: "We in­tend to show that the (Queen's Park) Sa­van­nah is not the on­ly stage to be graced by ca­lyp­so majesty, or with good, au­then­tic ca­lyp­so."
