Michelle Xavier start­ed out with the band Im­ij & Com­pa­ny, where she spent ten years as one of their lead singers. In 2011, she re­cieved an In­ter­na­tion­al So­ca Award for Best Fe­male Up­beat Artiste and in 2012, em­barked on a so­lo ca­reer, re­leas­ing songs with Kees Di­ef­fen­thaller.Her 2013 hit In­di­an Man land­ed her a place in the fi­nals of the 2013 Chut­ney So­ca Monarch on her first en­try in­to the chut­ney mu­sic are­na.
