‘Sheriff’ Griffith to chase gunslingers
Gunslingers beware! A new sheriff is in town. “Sheriff” Gary Griffith who just received his badge of authority intends to run you brazen-faced criminals out of town as none of his predecessors was able to do. Sorry folks, if you feel I might be making light of the recent appointment of the former army captain as our latest national security minister.
Far from that being so, I have this nagging feeling that he might be the one to make the difference in the fight against the criminal elements that seem to believe they can carry out their deadly enterprise with absolutely no respect for the rule of law and order. The gruesome and gory nature of their modus operandi in taking out some of their hapless victims, can testify to this cold fact.
Some might quite correctly say that I am being too optimistic and in the fullness of time he might go the way of his predecessors who were unable to effectively to put a dent in the spiraling murder rate. Perhaps I am being naïve believing that at last someone is able to put these beasts in human form on the run.
