TTPS lives up to motto
With the crime spree, particularly homicides, on a runaway course, it was extremely pleasing to read in the Guardian last Saturday about the foiling of a robbery attempt by armed bandits on Marli Street, Newtown, which occurred one day before. I was especially happy because it shows what a little bit of dedication and devotion to duty and what our country can do and if we could replicate this type of work among members of the TTPS, of course ruling out the rogue elements.
We could be on the road on to once more making our otherwise beautiful mother land a place of peace and security as we once knew it. Some may want to dismiss it as so what, aren’t they are paid to do that? But because of the unholy acts of criminality sweeping the land every effort should be made to encourage those members of the TTPS who live up to their motto which is to protect and serve with pride.
In case you missed it the story appeared on page A6 under the heading “Bandits caught in the act.” It was so well written I broke my recently taken resolve to stop reading crime stories, something I was very surprised to find out that so many others were doing. The blood and gore plus the human pain and suffering are too much for me to stomach. If it were not a true-life episode I would have thought it was straight from Hollywood of the cloak-and-dagger variety.
