The United National Congress (UNC) is urging citizens to remember those in society who are vulnerable. In its message for the Christmas season, the UNC said citizens should try to be their brother's keeper and help build T&T. "Brick by brick we can make a difference... we can use the cement of unity to keep us in check and bind us so we can weather any adversities and storms that may come our way," the statement said. The UNC said this year the country took a unanimous decision to "give ourselves a chance for a better future and a better country."
Christmas was a reminder of the miracles that hope brought, and the UNC said a miracle happened this year when Kamla Persad-Bissessar became Prime Minister. The statement said: "The United National Congress and our political leader have always believed in the philosophy of putting God in front and walking behind. "May He continue to guide our actions and our deeds in restoring good governance to Trinidad and Tobago."
