We boast that T&T's Panorama is the biggest and the best steelband competition in the world. Why then are disruptions, disturbances and distractions caused by the playing of loud music by nearby DJs and by the "noise" from rhythm sections within the premises permitted to continue when the competition is in progress? The "greatest steelband competition" must be permitted to proceed without disruptions, disturbances and distractions from all and any outside "noise." No music from DJs should be permitted near the Queen's Park Savannah or near any other venue during the time of a steelband competition. And further, no "noisy" instruments should be permitted at the venue of the competition. This is common sense and requires no debate. Enjoy the Panorama, enjoy the Carnival.
