A to­tal of 21 del­e­gates from var­i­ous dis­tricts across the coun­try have been se­lect­ed to com­pete in the La Reine Rive fi­nals of the Prime Min­is­ter's Best Vil­lage Tro­phy com­pe­ti­tion slat­ed for Au­gust 27 (self-ex­pres­sion and tal­ent), and Sep­tem­ber 3 (evening wear) at the Queen's Park Sa­van­nah.

This fol­lows pre­lim­i­nary com­pe­ti­tion in each of the dis­tricts over the past few weeks. Vic­to­ria West dom­i­nates the line-up with five del­e­gates, fol­lowed by St George West with four, and St George East and Ca­roni South with three del­e­gates each in the fi­nals. The Prime Min­is­ter's Best Vil­lage Tro­phy com­pe­ti­tion falls un­der the purview of the Min­istry of Com­mu­ni­ty De­vel­op­ment.
