Six weeks after hiring a helper, a Marabella businessman was robbed by two gunmen and the employee yesterday. Poultry dealer Abzal Rahaman told police he knew little about the employee who ordered him to lie on the floor during the robbery.At around12.40 pm, Rahaman, 39, was closing his poultry depot locateddat the corner of Battoo Avenue and Southern Main Road, Marabella, with assistance from the employee who he knew only as Michael.
Two gunmen entered through a side door and announced a robbery. Michael told Rahaman to lie on the floor and showed the gunmen where the cash was kept. The trio escaped with an unknown sum of money,Officers from the Marabella Police Station responded but up to late yesterday no arrests had been made. Cpl Frazer is continuing investigations.
