Assistant Commissioner of Police Wayne Dick said he would not want to divulge any information on the Dana Seetahal murder investigation as putting some information in the public domain could jeopardise the case.In a telephone interview with the T&T Guardian yesterday, Dick said he had decided not to divulge anything to the media other than what had been said before, which was that he was leading a large team of investigators, who are professionals.
Dick added: "No one has given me anything." He said he had decided against putting anything in the public prematurely and was keeping the investigation close to him.He said: "I don't understand Trinis, you know. I want to solve this thing. When you put things in the public domain, you could jeopardise the case. I am proud to say that I am an investigator."He added if he had been investigating the murder of a dog, he would not withhold any information but with that and other matters he would not risk the outcome of the case.
Seetahal, an attorney for 34 years, was shot dead just after midnight on May 4 at Hamilton Holder Street, Woodbrook, as she was driving to her home at One Woodbrook Place. She was shot five times at close range.
