A pregnant teenager and two other men were arrested after being held with a stolen car yesterday morning along the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway, Tacarigua.According to police reports, the 18-year-old, who is two months pregnant, and two men stopped a PH driver around 9 am at Demerara Road, Wallerfield. Moments later they commandered the vehicle and at gunpoint ordered the driver to surrender the keys to the white Nissan Tiida motorcar.
They drove off and police subsequently received a report. Officers of the Northern Division Task Force, Rapid Response and Highway Patrol Unit responded and intercepted the car at the corner of the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway and Orange Grove Road. Police said the three have been wanted for some time in relation to other car thefts.One of the two men was recently released from prison for murder. The suspects are from Demerara Road.
