The two close male relatives of Carapo Life Sport co-ordinator Rajaee Ali who were arrested under suspicion of gang-related activities remained in police custody last night without any charges.The men were arrested on Monday at their home in Malabar.Members of the Criminal Gang and Intelligence Unit picked up the men before heading to Diego Martin where two other men, linked to a Carapo mosque, were also arrested. They too remain in custody.
The four men were being kept in separate cells at the San Juan, Barataria and Central Police Stations. Ali, a former murder accused, was arrested in relation to similar offences earlier this year and after spending several days in police custody was released without being charged.
