Two men died in hos­pi­tal af­ter be­ing shot by po­lice in Cen­tral Trinidad last night.

While one of the men re­mains uniden­tied, the sec­ond is Beres­ford Asoon, a known car thief from San­gre Grande, po­lice said.

Their deaths bring to 34 the num­ber of vic­tims of fa­tal po­lice shoot­ing in 2014.
