The stars came out to entertain the local media at the annual Blink/bmobile media lime held on December 3, at Mary Street, St Clair. Former International Soca (Power) Monarch, Bunji Garlin (Ian Alvarez), and his wife Fay Ann-a past Power, Groovy and Road March monarch-were in attendance and delivered quality, high energy performances before an excited media core. They set the tone for live entertainment at the event, themed Warmth and Goodwill of the Season. Radio and television presenters Shal Marshall and TC, who also double as entertainers, rendered performances to savour, too.
Senior executives from the Telecommunications Services of T&T (TSTT), the parent company of Blink/bmobile were out to greet journalists. Camille Salandy, manager, corporate communications; Lisa Agard, executive vice president Mobile Services and vice president Legal, were among the officials that rolled out the welcome wagon. Trevor Deane, executive vice-president Strategic Analytics; Rakesh Goswami, chief financial officer; Gervon Abraham, manager, Government and External Relations; Leslie St John, manager, VIP Services, TSTT; and Graeme Suite, manager, Media Relations-the company's direct line to the media-made guests feel right at home.
There were giveaways at the event hosted by comedienne Rachel Price, but they weren't just handed over. Industry practitioners took part in the Yes and No game hosted by Kwesi "Hypa-Hopa" Hopkinson and John "JJ" Bailey Jr of Red 96.7FM to win HP notebooks, while Bunji and Fay Ann, as well as Shal Marshall and TC convinced media practitioners to display dancing and singing talents to score concert tickets.
