Last Friday evening's Blink/bmobile Annual Media Lime was no doubt a great success. Esteemed members of the press were treated to an evening of fun, food and premium liquor while they rekindled old friendships and fostered new acquaintances.
The venue on Mary Street, St Clair which was tastefully and uniquely decorated, was combined with festive music to truly create an atmosphere of Christmas cheer and excitement. One was reminded that both Blink and bmobile are synonymous with class and style as waiters and waitresses exquisitely catered to the culinary and beverage preferences of the media professionals in attendance. Some of the appetisers included samosas, chicken kebabs and crab balls which were all matched with delicious sauces.
Anticipation filled the air as MC for the night, comedienne Rachel Price, announced the commencement of events and invited TSTT's head of Public Relations and External Affairs, Camille Salandy to the stage. Salandy expressed her gratitude for the media's effective working relationship with TSTT. After the formalities, Price, along with radio personalities Hypa Hoppa and Tweeze, engaged the audience in a game that consisted of a question and answer segment where the participant was not allowed to include the words yes, no and "nah" in their responses. The activity was well received by both participants and onlookers and prizes were won by the people who were able to accomplish this task.
The entertainment-filled evening also featured a karaoke competition where guests were given the opportunity to sing at least one verse from one of their favourite songs.
The evening's dinner menu consisted of mouth watering treats such as turkey, ham, pastelles, stuffing with cranberry sauce and many more sumptuous treats. The dessert table presented an array of items which included cheese cake, festive fruit cake, éclairs and chocolate balls. Noted journalists and members of the media fraternity were able to let loose and party the night away to performances by Soca artistes Bunji Garlin and Faye Ann Lyons–Alvarez who dished out some of their most popular hits for example Get On, Call Meh, Heavy T Bumper and Banana.
Shal Marshal and Supa Jigga TC also added to the evening's excitement with high energy renditions as the patrons danced and sang with utter enjoyment. Upon leaving, guests were given gifts as tokens of appreciation for attending.#
