If there is one event Arimians look forward to when it comes to a party during the Carnival season is Kabuki's Soca Stew. The Dutch party has increased in patronage over the years and the Sunday 6 edition showed the event remains extremely popular. Held at Kabuki's residence in Nettoville, Arima, scores came out from as early as 7 pm for the jam session.
It was the first taste of Carnival in the eastern Borough and may arguably be counted as the best for the season in the area. For those who may be wondering which song was played the most on the night, Machel Montano's Bend Ova and Kees Dieffenthaller's Wotless were played five times each. Benjai's Trini and Wine to the Side were played four times; but Cassie's Town Ting was played a whopping eight times.
