Resh­ma Ra­goonath

Denyse Plum­mer per­formed a med­ley of songs, in­clud­ing Rik­ki Jai's pop­u­lar hit Bar­man, and was ac­com­pa­nied by flame throw­ers and mas­quer­aders. Mu­sic was pro­vid­ed by the band So­ca Unit.

Groovy So­ca fi­nal­ist Grena­da's Sug­ar Jay al­so made her pres­ence felt, while chut­ney di­vas Nisha B, in a sexy leather en­sem­ble com­plete with a leop­ard-print­ed bra, and Dru­patee Ram­goon­ai-Per­sad added spice to the mix. Ram­goon­ai-Per­sad and her dancers had the crowd scream­ing as they "wined" low.

Twen­ty year-old Megan Wal­dron made her de­but on the south­ern stage. She said she was ex­cit­ed and ho­n­oured to be on the same stage with ca­lyp­so roy­al­ty. Au­di­ence mem­bers got a close-up view of the per­for­mances through the aid of large tele­vi­sion screens mount­ed on both sides of the stage. Ca­lyp­so Rose left back­stage to sit in the au­di­ence and take in some of the per­for­mances.
