Splish Splash and some heavy foam, all made an af­ter­noon of pure fun as Space La Nou­ba pre­sent­ed its of­fi­cial sig­na­ture out­door fete for Car­ni­val 2K11, Wet and Wild 2. Scores of par­ty an­i­mals took over the club's car park on Feb­ru­ary 27 for the cool­er wet fete event, which was long await­ed af­ter last year's scorch­ing pre­miere. Adding to the ex­cite­ment were foam can­nons, foam ma­chines, wa­ter sprin­klers, hoses and wa­ter bal­loons.

Sport­ing short pants, vests, biki­nis and su­per soak­ers (wa­ter guns), pa­trons rev­elled in the foam pits, and made mas in the three swim­ming pools lo­cat­ed at the heart of the par­ty. The show be­gan at 3 pm un­der al­ready wet weath­er con­di­tions, but every­one just seemed in­tent on hav­ing a good time. The de­sired heat need­ed was pro­vid­ed by a con­tin­gency of elec­tri­fy­ing artiste.

There were su­per per­for­mances by the big band Kar­ma, with the com­bi­na­tion of Ravi B and Nisha B caus­ing a siz­zling ef­fect on the crowd. JMC Triveni's KI Per­sad was a ladies favourite, as he walked on stage to screams and cheers be­fore per­form­ing his hit tune, No More Rum Again. Cas­si with Tong Ting, in­voked a win­ing com­pe­ti­tion, while Swap­pi turned up the heat with his thrilling and en­ter­tain­ing dance moves.
