The Kaiso House Calypso Tent continues its series of monthly concerts at De Nu Pub corner Ariapita Avenue and French Street, Woodbrook.The shows will feature artistes from the cast of Kaiso House, Carnival 2011 as they present songs from their repertoire. Cummings and the Wailers who has been the resident band since the inception of Kaiso House two decades ago will be providing the musical accompaniment for the monthly concert series.This month Kaiso House will showcase the works of Winston Henry (Explainer). The Explainer is considered by many to be one of the big names in the music business of the Caribbean.
In a successful career spanning more than four decades Explainer has given the world such hits as All Inclusive, Park It, Rasta Sister, Dem Way Dread, Not me and the Monarchy and Lorraine.The latter song propelled Explainer's career across the Atlantic making him a popular name among calypso lovers in England and across Europe.During the years Explainer has been a finalist in the National Calypso Monarch Competition on many occasions.His music has been played by the steelbands as well as the Ieading "soca" bands of the time. Indeed Explainer is an act well worth seeing.Among the supporting cast are Dee Diamond, Soft Touch, Brother Musa, Doppy, Donna Silpa Janelle and Peyola.
