On May 1, Port-of-Spain was trans­formed in­to a sea of blues as more than 300 mod­el hope­fuls con­gre­gat­ed at City Hall to try­out for the Fash­ion Week 2011 cat­walk. This year's Wa­ter theme: bring­ing life to fash­ion and fash­ion to life, was rep­re­sent­ed by all things blue and the more than 25 Fash­ion Week TT vol­un­teers en­sured a smooth pro­cess­ing of all the ex­cit­ed mod­els who yearned to be on the na­tion­al stage along with the lo­cal and in­ter­na­tion­al de­sign­ers lat­er this year.

The judg­ing pan­el, which ro­tat­ed through­out the marathon six hours screen­ing, was led by FWTT Cre­ative Di­rec­tor Richard Young and al­so fea­tured, FWTT Di­rec­tors Stephen Doobal, An­tho­ny Ra­hael, Leonar­do and Dayn­er Azzelli­no; Lystra Cud­joe, for­mer Trinida­di­an su­per­mod­el; Adele Beck­les, fash­ion mer­chan­dis­er and wardrobe spe­cial­ist; Nigel Ce­les­tine, mod­el co­or­di­na­tor; and, Wayne Alon­zo, past Pres­i­dent of Car­ni­val in At­lanta. Pho­tog­ra­phy for the day was com­plet­ed by Re­al Com­pa­ny along with in­ter­na­tion­al tal­ent James Solomon.
