To­mor­row, the sec­ond an­nu­al "Trib­ute to Moth­ers" all-in­clu­sive fund-rais­er takes place at Saly­bia Na­ture Re­sort and Spa, To­co Main Road, from 4 pm to mid­night. This event promis­es to be an evening filled with a de­light­ful blend of beau­ti­ful peo­ple, de­light­ful food, full pre­mi­um bar and qual­i­ty mu­sic, led by Roy Cape as he dis­plays his many moods.

Hav­ing staged his 50th gold­en an­niver­sary at the same venue in 2010, which the mul­ti­tude de­scribed the event as "ex­cel­lent," with Black Stal­in on Syn­er­gy TV, re­gard­ing it as "the best event lo­cal and in­ter­na­tion­al that he has ever per­formed in...," Cape leads a star-stud­ded cast on the scenic north-east coast.

The Cast

Roy Cape All Stars (fea­tur­ing Blaxx, Ri­ta Jones and Olatun­ji); Dil-e-Nadan, fea­tur­ing Ray­mond Ram­nar­ine; T&TEC Gay­a­tones, fea­tur­ing Os­car B and Avinash Ma­haraj; and, Siparia Rhythm Sec­tion, plus so­ca artistes Black Stal­in, Ben­jai, Rik­ki Jai and De­stra. Em­cee for the evening is CG (the So­ca Gen­er­al), with DJs Howie T, King Int'l and Mar­lon Mr Mu­sic.

Full pre­mi­um bar with a spe­cial wine bar, cock­tails bar, al­co­holic pre­mi­um and non-al­co­holic bar plus an Ocean Spray bar.

The Menu

A wide va­ri­ety of Chi­nese, East In­di­an and cre­ole dish­es, bake and shark, gy­ros, geera pork, jerk chick­en, dou­bles, crab and dumpling, wan tons, with a Haag n Daz ice cream dessert.

Pro­ceeds

Pro­ceeds of the event are for the es­tab­lish­ment of "The Roy Cape Youth Benev­o­lent Fund" to as­sist in the de­vel­op­ment of young adults in the lo­cal fra­ter­ni­ty as a com­mu­ni­ty de­vel­op­ment pro­gramme to as­sist in the arts, sports and cul­ture of the na­tion. The Fund was es­tab­lished in 2010 with the first An­nu­al Trib­ute to Moth­er's fund-rais­er when Roy Cape cel­e­brat­ed his 50th Gold­en An­niver­sary as an icon in the eyes of the youths based on his achieve­ments over the years. The Fund is be­ing es­tab­lished to as­sist these young adults who are un­able to af­ford fur­ther­ance in their artis­tic or cul­tur­al abil­i­ty and Roy Cape, the es­tab­lished icon is spear­head­ing this arrange­ment.
