Winner of the Digicel SLAM 100.5 graduation competition Leah Bhola, Kees Dieffenthaller and SLAM radio personality TC.

The beautiful young women of Penal’s Holy Faith Convent rocked the dance floor as they partied with soca heartthrob Kees Dieffenthaller at their 2011 graduation ball. The school was the winner of the Digicel Slam Grad promotion, which was heavily contested by graduating students from various schools around the country. The competition ran for one month and allowed students to participate via Slam 100 FM’s Facebook page. From as early as 5 pm young women gathered at the Paria Suites Hotel in La Romaine and entered the Mediterranean ballroom like celebrities, as they strutted their glamorous outfits on the Slam Carpet.

On hand to greet them were the super fabulous Slam personalities, which included teenage sensation Travis To The World, the beautiful J Angel, Young Kingston, 5Star Akil, MC Spexx and others. Leah Bhola, the winner of the Royal package, was picked up at home by Super Jigga TC and whisked away to the ball in a limousine. All smiles and dressed in a stunning green dress, Bhola was greeted by Kees and the two proceeded to the ballroom where they dined. Following the gourmet meal, the tables and seats were removed and the party kicked off. When the 2011 Groovy Soca Monarch took the spotlight, there was an uproar. Kees performed his 2011 hits which included, Come Gyul, Wotless and Thing.

Super Jigga TC also hyped up the party, and MC Spexx, DJ Witty, DJ Situations, King James, DJ Duane, Lubz Aswaad and Destruction Sounds certainly did not disappoint. Interviews and clips from the graduation will be aired on the station’s upcoming summer initiative, Slam TV. The show is scheduled to start later this month and will be aired Monday to Friday on CNC3.
