Exhilarating performances at Digicel Outta Control Tour

The Digicel Outta Control Tour continued its drive to provide exposure to the hidden gems in T&T music, with a recent mini-concert at J Malone’s, MovieTowne Port-of-Spain. This time, patrons were treated to incredible performances by 5 Miles to Midnight and Michelle Xavier, both of whom showed their musical versatility through performances that ranged from soca to hip-hop, usually with an invigorating rock twist. 5 Miles to Midnight gave an energetic performance that was thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd. Putting their own spin on crowd favourites such Cee-Lo Green’s ‘Forget You’ and Edwin Yearwood/Tony Prescott’s ‘All Aboard’, the talented young band had the crowd singing and dancing along.
Michelle Xavier joined 5 Miles onstage for their first performance, expressing her excitement and hopes that it would not be their last joint performance. Thanking the crowd for their support of local music, she launched into a stirring set that left no doubt as to why rock music is her true musical love. The Digicel Outta Control Tour featured several local acts over the five week period. Artistes and bands included Gyazette, Nebula 868, Tim Starr, Umi Marcano, Kin Sound System, Ziggy Rankin, Skid Nevely and Rikki Jai.
