An­gos­tu­ra Rum Fes­ti­val is the ide­al plat­form to show­case the gas­tro­nom­i­cal de­lights of T&T. These were the words of per­ma­nent sec­re­tary Mel­ba Dedi­er as she de­liv­ered an ad­dress on be­half of Tourism Min­is­ter Ru­pert Grif­fith dur­ing Thurs­day's open­ing cer­e­mo­ny of this years An­gos­tu­ra Rum Fest. Dedi­er told a crowd of the busi­ness com­mu­ni­ty, gov­ern­ment of­fi­cials and mem­bers of the diplo­mat­ic corps that An­gos­tu­ra was linked in­ter­na­tion­al­ly with T&T cul­ture and her­itage.

Booths lit­tered the An­gos­tu­ra com­pound as pa­trons cel­e­brat­ed rum the An­gos­tu­ra way, with drinks, food, mu­sic and guid­ed tours of the rum mak­ing process. There was al­so a sober zone fea­tur­ing An­gos­tu­ra's non-al­co­holic bev­er­age LLB. The Rum Fes­ti­val con­tin­ues for this en­tire week­end at the An­gos­tu­ra com­pound in Laven­tille.
