From Ja­maica to Point Fortin, in­ter­na­tion­al reg­gae sen­sa­tion Jah Cure cre­at­ed mu­si­cal mad­ness on Fri­day at Club Leg­end, Point Fortin. The mu­si­cal icon, who some hail as the best reg­gae su­per­star af­ter Bob Mar­ley, per­formed for just over an hour, ren­der­ing some spir­it­ed per­for­mances. From as ear­ly at 10 pm fans gath­ered at the venue for one of the biggest events to hit the Bor­ough. Par­ty pro­mot­er and lo­cal reg­gae artiste Ten Com­mand­mentz said that Jah Cure was the most pop­u­lar in­ter­na­tion­al fig­ure to grace an event in Point Fortin. Around 1.30 am Jah Cure and his en­tourage en­tered the build­ing caus­ing fans, both male and fe­male, to call out his name re­peat­ed­ly.

Half and hour lat­er when MC Mya an­nounced the artiste's en­trance on­to the stage, fans burst out in­to a loud roar of ap­pre­ci­a­tion. Though a heavy con­tin­gent of po­lice and army per­son­nel stood in front of the stage, Jah Cure still came to his ador­ing fans, hold­ing their hands in grat­i­tude of their warm re­cep­tion. Hearts melt­ed and cou­ples held each oth­er close­ly and danced as he per­formed his 2008 hit Miles Away. The women sang along to his ro­man­tic songs such as Un­con­di­tion­al Love, Long­ing For and On­ly You. Oth­ers songs per­formed on the night in­clud­ed, Prison Walls, Save the World and Call on Me. As he end­ed his stint, fans called for an en­core per­for­mance and suit­able to their re­quest, he ren­dered his 2010 hit sin­gle, Be­fore I Leave. Al­so ren­der­ing good tunes was lo­cal bud­ding reg­gae singer Goun­z­man along with DJs Ju­dah In­ter­na­tion­al, along­side Kil­la B and Juicy.
