Without a doubt 2011 has been a bumper year in theatre! With a musical here and a musical there and here a laugh and there a laugh, everywhere a laugh laugh, there was definitely something for everyone.
Following last night's premiere at Queen's Hall, The 5 Hottspots moves to Naparima Bowl, San Fernando, for the weekend. A definite laugh-a-thon, The 5 Hottspots, is the brainchild of producers Gregory Singh of Funny Farm Factory Productions and women, Penelope Spencer and Nikki Crosby, who make up Ha Ha Ha Productions. Remember the ultra hot Penis Monologues, the super sexy Vagina Dialogues, audience favourite The Best Little Whorehouse in Guapo and the 2011 hit comedy Raw...the stories of love, sex and men who fake it ?
Well The 5 Hottspots is the final teaming for 2011 for both production houses and they are going out with a big bang. The 5 Hottspots is actually part two of the 2011 mega hit comedy Raw, but this time the women are sounding off on the State of Emergency, government policies, Opposition MPs, Crime Watch, crime fighters, sexual role play and general mauvais lange! Its no hold barred, names will be called, lawyers are on stand by, court clothes are ironed and comedy theatre will never be the same.
Like Raw, The 5 Hottspots promises to live up to its name as it delivers a heavy one-two punch, with absolutely no frills. It's edgy, it's sexy, it's undoubtedly hilarious and it is hands down, unequivocally a bachannal comedy. In the cast are the five hotties, namely Cacique Awards winning comic actresses Nikki Crosby,Penelope Spencer, Debra Boucaud Mason, Cecilia Salazar and joining the cast is a surprise hottie. The 5 Hottspots, which runs at the Bowl until Monday evening, returns to Queen's Hall on October 7, at 6.30 pm. For ticket information, call: 624 1284, 338-6024.
